Today, the actress and former cover girl lives at Beverly Hills with her dogs Samantha and Olivia (above left). Ann Turkel still struggles to deal with the divorce she received of Richard Harris, even though they were only married for eight years. Born in the Jewish middle-class family in Manhattan, Turkel had, when she was 16, studied alongside Sanford Meisner at the Neighborhood Playhouse, and Philip Burton at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. The band also took part in a year of summer stock stage on stage at the Berkshire Playhouse in Stockbridge, Massachusetts performing in plays like The Pajama Game" and West Side Story. Ann was discovered through her performance in the Vogue Magazine Fashion Show by Gloria Schiff. Diana Vreeland ordered Ann to take part in her first Vogue photo shoot with Richard Avedon within one week. Ann was soon one of the most sought-after models ever, with her covers appearing in the most prestigious fashion magazines such as Vogue Bazaar and Cosmopolitan. Ann was a successful model for various cosmetics companies like Max Factor Revlon, Chanel and Europe in Europe after two years.
